AwesomeMix Forever - the Tracklist 01 "The Touchtone Genius" - Songs to Wear Pants to It's from a website where a guy takes requests from the masses to make songs. This is a retarded start, I know, but bear with me. 02 "Ignorance is Bliss" - Jellyfish The opening track from White Knuckle Scorin', a badass album Nintendo compiled in the early 90s. This is the only track made exclusively for it. 03 "Give Me Chaos" - Dr. Robotnik From Sonic in Sydney, a live show at a place called Segaworld in Australia. 04 "Startin'" - Ayumi Hamasaki A genuinely good song that I stumbled upon during the waning days of my J-Pop phase. 05 "Dick in a Box" - Justin Timberlake Saturday Night Live made a funny! 06 "Excutive Battle" - Uh... some composer at Capcom From Megaman X Command Mission, the coolest PS2/Gamecube RPG you've never played. This is the boss music from the second half of the game. 07 "Partyman" - Prince From the Batman movie in the 80s. Everything about it is ridiculous in retrospect, especially the music. And that's why I love it. 08 "THE PALACE THAT WAS FOUND" - Kenichi Tokoi From Sonic and the Secret Rings, a game on the Nintendo Wii. Also plays Gamecube games, including Command Mission! :D 09 "Blowing Kisses in the Wind" - Paula Abdul Hey, remember when Paula Abdul and pop music were relevant? 10 "Metroid Sugar, Water, Purple OC Remix" - Shnabubula The OCRemix site has come a long way from the days of "HAY I MADE A MIDI!" Once in a while, you can find a gem like this, based on the Norfair song from the original Metroid. 11 "Kefka" - Nobuo Uematsu Piano version of the song of the same name from the Final Fantasy VI piano collection. My friends are all apeshit for Final Fantasy. Eh, makes for good piano songs, at least. 12 "United States of Megaman" - YTMND I'm soooooo sorry... 13 "Vibrator" - Electric Six Oh, how I wish this song would become Vibratorroll in Rickroll's stead. 14 "Mass Destruction" - Shoji Meguro From Persona 3. Pretty cool dungeon-crawler with a kickass soundtrack. 15 "Laid to Rest" - Lamb of God This song was played on a local radio station completely out of the blue one day, so I went and acquired Lamb of God's discography by totally legal means (shh!) and liked it! This "metal" appeals to me as an angry person. 16 "Millionär" - Die Prinzen A friend of mine did a tribute to the already-ridiculous music video that accompanies this song. If you're curious, the original's at http://youtube.com/watch?v=sGCmZPfe_bU 17 "Chess King" - Freezepop I wish I could say I knew Freezepop before the video game Guitar Hero made them cool, because they're just my kind of music. I didn't. But I did go buy a couple of their albums! 18 "Scatman's World (House Mix)" - Scatman John The Internet apparently had a field day with the late, great Scatman John Larkin way back when. This cat made some pretty sweet tunes and remixes! The early 90s VH1 would've been proud. 19 "Katamari Dancing" - Takashi Utsunomiya From Beautiful Katamari, the latest game in the Katamari Damacy series. Diehard Katamari fans can tell Namco's just phoning it in by now, but at least the artists still put their hearts into it. This one's my favorite of the main Katamari themes. 20 "Galaga (Tiny Voice Remix)" - Namco Sound Team From Namco Classics Collection: Techno Maniax. What's next--making Space Invaders fun?! 21 "Fuck the Shit" - Sons of Butcher I'm a sucker for rock that doesn't take itself seriously.
